The Stalactite chair is a piece of furniture borne out of an experimental design approach. With minimal human influence, the furniture form is dictated by the natural properties of wax.
Experiment and Test
I started by exploring the characteristics of wax by adding substances and coagulating it in different ways.

After numerous experiments, it appeared that using fabric as the central medium worked best. This is because of its ability to absorb wax efficiently and strengthen itself after multiple dips between wax and cold water.
