[F'20] Jazz Dance: Art For Change

BRIEF

The project was to create a visual piece of art that represents social change, which must include some form of movement expression. With everything else going on in our lives, not many of us are concerned with the state of affairs in West Coast, where very real consequences are affecting real people.

I used to choreograph in high school, and the dances fit the concept perfectly. Upon revisiting the tailored performance, I still recall how elaborate the process was, yet just as worthwhile – four years later, here I am, here it is.

(You can find the full version of which here).

I have been into analog photography (and not necessarily good at it). The grainy effect was from my recently developed roll, which was more of a trial-and-error (I overexposed most of which). Nevertheless, it came together like a missing piece of puzzle one has been searching all along.
