Digital sculpt and paint using Nomad Sculpt / iPad Pro 2018 / Apple Pencil

I created this sculpt as a process of learning Nomad Sculpt and improve my sculpting skills generally. I've been learning ZBrush and it was a nice change to work on the iPad away from the Cintiq. It has definitely helped my understanding of the sculpting process generally. Although the app is limited compared to desktop software like ZBrush, I see it as a companion not a viable replacement to sculpt solely on the iPad - not yet, anyway.

Below are a series of images giving a brief insight into the process and some final detailed shots of the finished model. There is also a brief video at the bottom showing the model from various angles. Nomad doesn't have a turntable preview function, so I had to work around that a little awkwardly recording the 'previous position' function. Thanks for your interest!
Sculpting Process:
Blocking out the general shapes of the sculpt using various reference images
Detailing half of the model to be mirrored when complete. One leg was created as a separate object, duplicated and moved in place.
The detailing on the right side has been completed and is mirrored in the central axis. The same mirror process is used on the four legs.
Building up the forms, then detailing, the underside of the sculpt - this time with symmetry selected.
Close up of the cross hatch detailing. Quite a laborious and time consuming approach, it would have been more efficient to use a textured alpha on the brush, but I wanted to see Nomad's capabilities, which are impressive.
The tail was created by making one section, duplicating it many times and adjusting the individual sections for variety. The side pouches have also been lengthened using the 'move' tool and smoothed to contrast with the detailing on the harder surfaced body, legs and tail.
The painting process involved several layers of semi opaque colour build up. Darker colours were used within crevices to lift the form. The wet surface sheen was created by using a reflective material setting on the uppermost layer and putting the paint slider to 100% transparent.
