The retrofuturistic adventures of a time-traveling dog and his young owner.
Preface from the original fanzine:

Most Time Dog comic strips are currently lost, due to their turbulent publication history. This humble booklet reprints my incomplete personal collection, as I understand there is some degree of public  interest.

Time Dog was written and drawn by Vincent Kings, my late great-grandfather and namesake. It was originally syndicated in The Independent Times from 1938 until the editors were denounced as communists in 1954. Public burnings ensued, and there are no surviving copies of the newspaper.

In 1968, unauthorized reprints of Time Dog began to appear in Atomic Fairytales - an underground science fiction magazine. Unfortunately, its proprietary “Chromo-Phonic” print process aroused the suspicion of the DEA, which shut  the publication down after a mere 3 issues.

In 2017, I received a blank manila envelope containing a never-before-seen issue of Atomic Fairytales, dated September 1977. I suspected a hoax, but several vintage comic dealers confirmed its use of the original Chromo-Phonic print process. A copy of the April 1971 issue came nearly a year later, despite the fact that I moved abroad in between. Since then, packages have begun arriving almost weekly, but only when I leave my mailbox unwatched.

Who is responsible for these magazines, and why are they being delivered out-of-order? Did this comic strip really predict events like the JFK assassination and Mad Cow Disease? If so, are its depictions of the future equally credible?

The answers must be left to imagination, and  perhaps  a  bit  of  time  travel...

Bon voyage!
