Asia Today is a local bar in Yaowarat/Chinatown, Bangkok. The illustrations are used as a part of the article series 'Bar Review' run by the publication and event host, Dudesweet. Each week, the writer takes one local illustrator to a new bar and they each create content about the atmosphere and interactions in the bar.
In this project I used loose brushstroke and extremely saturated colors to bring out the mood of a candle-lit bar in the area where local shophouses and colorful fluorescence coexist. Suggesting the atmosphere of the scene rather than focusing on the small details.
