After the completion of the HBA program, I wanted to test out my Chinese. I wanted to go to a place where almost no one spoke English (a non typical tourist site) but also a place where I could see a diverse culture. I decided to go to the Yunnan Province as I heard that it was rich in culture due to the many ethnic minorities that lived in the Province. And yes I was able to eat, travel, and survive without the use of English!
