No Room For Racism
This project was done as part of my Research Inquiry into Racism in Modern Football. I started this project in January not knowing what the rest of the year would bring with the horrible events in America and the start of the worldwide Black Lives Matter protests, this project seemed more relevant by the day.

The aim of the project was to explore the issues of Racism within Modern Day Football and create designs that would raise awareness of the issue and that would promote diversity and encourage people to open their minds to the issue.

For the Research Inquiry we had to create a publication based on our Research and our designs, I had planned to do mine in the style of a Matchday program, however due to COVID-19 I wasn't able to finish the project whilst at University so I had to keep the project digital.
For the next part of the project I wanted to look at the diversity within the history of the Premier League and so I looked at all the nations that had been represented since the Premier League was founded in 1992.

I found out that including the home nations, 110 countries had been represented in the Premier League's history and I decided to celebrate that by taking a player that had represented each nation and put them in front of their countries flag. After I had done all 110 pieces I was quite amazed by just how many nations had been represented in just one league.
I also wanted to do a series of work within the project that focussed on the message "The only colour that matters, is the colour of the shirt". The aim of these are to make sure the focus is just on the colour of the team, not the colour of the player. At the end of the day, the most important thing in football is your team, not the colour of your skin.
I wanted to finish the project with an Abstract composition that was just a way for me to express some creativity within the project.
