SEMPITERNA - GRADUATION PROJECT

//THE COLLECTION
In a situation of over-consumption and over sharing, more and more individuals are looking for unique spiritual experiences. They’re asking for more depth to their lives, searching for enchanted and significant encounters.
Spirituality, intended as the expansion of our own individuality, is enriched by knowledge. In this context, it’s important to reconnect with the past, in order to understand better the present and be prepared for the future.
We are looking for authenticity and history, by choosing meaningful objects, that have a story to tell.
“The less, the better.”
In the digital era, this call to explore ancient ways of looking at what’s around us, unveils the desire to disconnect and embrace mystery in a world that doesn’t leave space for uncertainties. And in light of recent events, the conscience of the importance of individual order has increased, and in the meantime consumers are looking for brands and products that may help bringing a feeling of calm and peace in their lives.

The jewel, finished in itself, becomes a story open to interpretation.

The purpose of the designer is not only related to the concept, but to the matter too, which can be charged with infinite meanings, take numerous forms and be combined more and more. The material expresses the spiritual essence of which is attributed and, doing so, it enliven the object.
Jewels have the fundamental mean to exchange values. Just think of wedding rings. But they are also a part of the individual every-day rituals.
Often by wearing the same piece of jewelry we charge it with apotropaic values.
To daily respect a habit gives everyday life the sensation of sacredness that we’re a lways looking for.
