2015 to 2016: I personally won this project after Riot Games in USA contacted me through LinkedIn as a an ECD who has worked with brand purpose driven brands before they became a norm at the Cannes Award Festivals. After going through rounds of interviews, I was given the chance to launch the first Riot Games branded event in China, which revolved around the global Bilgewater Pirate City map update and new story chapter. We had to plan around 300 pages of the new storyline to develop and experiential online-to-offline-to-online brand activation revolving around a WeChat mini program, HTML website game-fication and a live streaming experience for a kick ass social commerce experience that drove over a million unpaid/organic search queries in 3 hours. We followed up with designing and developing the Riot Games China website and an esports WeChat mini program that allows game fans to narrate the best matches for a chance to be a guest narrator at the Collegiate esports tournament!
