Baer & Baer Design is the newest manifestation of a architectural office in Germany.
We were asked to create their new logo, since the business has passed to a the newest generation.
The office is a family business and the family has a family crest - coat of arms. The new logo had to be based on that coat of arms.
The family's crest was only provided in old photos and low resolution images.

The first step, was to recreate that coat of arms as a vector image, and then simplify it even more in order to work as a proper modern logo.
The colours of the family crest were used as the colours of the new identity.
