2nd Yr Project - Cardboard Chair

I was required to design and construct something comfortable to sit on out of corrugated cardboard. The design should satisfy the conventional anthropometric and ergonomic requirements of a seating device, within the size limitations of a regular dining room chair. My design should encourage making use of recycled cardboard, as well as the economic use of the material – less is more! For this chair I was inspired by giraffe and came to find out that they are decreasing in population as well as loss of habitat. OLOODO- originating from the Masai tribe. I then decided to create a chair that represents the structure of a giraffe and to create an awareness for the poaching of giraffes.
