If you want to dive deeper into the processes behind creating picture book illustrations and creating compelling and distinctive characters, you’re in the right place. Throughout this course I’ll be teaching you the fundamentals of visual storytelling while focusing on character development. We’ll explore and define steps that go into creating characters that tell stories – from how to approach it, referencing and sketching to making your illustrations stand out when it comes to color, composition, anatomy, light and textures. Also, I’ll touch the subject of creating worlds you character exist in and how the two interact.
