I had high expectations prior to flying above this abstract landscape of Iceland, but reality surpassed my wildest imaginations. After years of failing to even get up in the air, my dear friend Haraldur Diego aka Volcanopilot texted me: "WTF Stian, it actually looks clear for a change - keen on an adventure?". Needless to say, I packed in a hurry and we embarked on a five hour ride in his Cessna together with Kim Jenssen. Words fail me trying to describe how crazy this part of the world looks from above. Apparently the tide was too high for certain areas of this land, so the most colourful river braids were under water - I can only imagine what it would look like in prime conditions. If you look closely on certain images, you can see numerous whooper swans enjoying a lazy morning on the countless river braids. Definitely going back!
