The Creature - Skull build process
I had the opportunity to work on a internal Weta Workshop film for there film competition. I was on Callum McKeown Team, who worked on "Pro-Trek", and I was tasked with creating the main "mask/face" for the antagonist of the film, aka "The Creature". I idea was the take a snapping turtle head and make it look like a old weathered bone mask, and it all had to be completed in 2 days... So here is what I did. I had a 3d model of the turtle skull, however it was a photo scan and had internal bone structure, so at this point is couldn't be worn by a person. However I'm a 3D artist, so i went into 3DCoat, and sculpted out all the internal structure, so that a person could wear it, along with also splitting the model up so it could be fitted on a Creality Ender 3 3D printer. This was my first intro to 3D printing, and I had borrowed my friends printer to print the mask, as below is the process of how I did it.

But firstly here is the final look :)
