Codechangers Online Platform
CodeChangers programs have offered unique STEM education experiences with their online platform, summer tech camps, and after school programs. We design each program to inspire creativity and connection to real-world technology and give our students usable skills.
I was responsible for designing their online platform and current website and creating the above-animated explainer video for the said online platform.

Assets and site branding were the first things we addressed. The original Codechangers brand wasn't welcoming enough for all ages, so we tried to soften and lighten it up a bit with new colors, characters, and unique identity.
The Codechangers online platform was a way for kids to learn to code from their homes' comfort. However, we needed to find a way to make it enjoyable and engaging, or we would lose the attention of our students. To counter this, we decided to game-ify our curriculum. Each lesson was treated like a "world map" from Mario Brothers, and students would earn badges and rewards as they progressed on their adventure.
We even began work on a mobile app version of our online platform, with a much greater focus on the game side of things.
Lessons were called side quests, and each completed quest would give the student a badge. Each earned badge correlated visually to the topic of the quest and the visual appearance of the lesson's thumbnail and background.
Outside of the online platform, I also helped wireframe and layout their current website that can be found at https://www.codechangers.com.
I also designed their summer camp and after school class T-Shirts to match their new image.
