The By Pam Typeface Family was created from lettering by New Orleans sign painter Pam Collins. Her signs can be seen all around town from corner stores to City Hall. She often marks her signs "By Pam."

Pam painted two boards with uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, symbols, curlicues, and stars. The boards were scanned and the scans were used in Adobe Illustrator with the Fontself plugin.

The typeface family consist of By Pam Regular, By Pam Shadow, and By Pam Shadow Red. The two shadow typefaces are compatible with Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
