The volume of this apartment building marries the parcel boundaries to the East and opens up to the city to the west to reinforce the present void. It clings to the blind building to the South to create a continuity with the existing urban fabric. A common terrace, leaning against the arm of the Vilaine, serves circulation and mailboxes. This terrace, the pivot of the project, is a place of ex- change and contemplation common to all and not privile- ged to a dwelling. Served by a passageway, the dwellings are transverse, taking advantage of the sun.
