"I don't think outside of the box, I think of what I can do with the box"
I was required to design and construct something comfortable to sit on out of corrugated cardboard. The design should satisfy the conventional anthropometric and ergonomic requirements of a seating device, within the size limitations of a regular dining room chair. The design should encourage making use of recycled cardboard, as well as the economic use of the material – less is more! I was inspired by the quaver music note and this formed the profile of my chair design. My aim was that the chair should be used in a park like setting for people to just have a place to relax and sit back while enjoying the beauty of nature.
