GIS Analysis . HOUSING PLANS

I work in the Housing Plan Diagnosis Phase for two cities in the south of Brazil, evaluating their present situation through GIS analysis. The work was developed by one of the UFRGS laboratories, SimmLAB (Simulation and Modeling Laboratory).

The results led to a synthesis map related to the present situation of the municipality. From this point forward, aptitude values were given to different areas in the city, determining the best areas for the implementation of low-income housing states.
some of the characteristics evaluated.
synthesis map.
Areas with no constrains, provided with infrastructure and facilities (such as employment areas, hospitals and schools), at the same time displaying low land value, were considered the most appropriate for the implementation of low-income housing states (ranging from red – most fit, to light green –less fit).
