Enchantments in Color
This is what is known as the Alpine Lakes Wilderness in central Washington or more specifically The Enchantments Core Zone. This is a highly protected and largely still untouched wilderness despite its close proximity to Seattle. Backpacking/camping here can land you a steep fine if you aren't able to obtain a permit.
That being said, I am truly privileged and grateful that girlfriend Kim was awarded a backpacking permit. She was also gracious enough to let me take pictures for hours on end during this five day journey.
After the trip I unloaded my camera with thousands of pictures. As stunning as the environment was it was a daunting task sorting though my shots. There were a few I wanted to have fun with in between editing the all the other shots in such a serious fashion. These are my results and I hope you enjoy!
