Walk to the clouds
In this project, I worked for Nadiya Paar to develop a range of handwoven fabrics, in silk, cotton silk and cotton. A series of checks and stripes to complement the floral prints in the collection. These light, delicate fabrics were designed to be turned into petticoats, camisoles, blouses, ruffles and other details.
Based on the identity of the brand and the chosen colour palette, I developed a range of woven fabrics with unique selvedges.
The illustrations were then digitally printed to perfect the scale. After the scale was finalised, the spec sheets were sent to West Bengal to be woven.
Once woven, they were turned into the final product.
