Exploring typography
My poems redesigned. Now available as prints in my shop!
All the way back in 2019, I published a little book of poems on Amazon titled "I like writing, so I wrote this for you." I never really spoke about the book or told anyone about it aside from a few friends who really liked what I had to say. I was an English Literature A Level student, so writing and the enjoyment I get from writing is something quite strongly I feel.
According to my mother, I had promised a teacher back in my infant school (i've now been out of education for just over a year, with the intent to go to University in 2021), so this was quite some time ago, that I would publish a book. So for the year of 2019, as well as focusing on my a levels, I would write poems in my spare time as a way of relaxation.
I recently went back and looked at the poems I had published, some of them could've been better but I was an 18 year old, I don't think I did too badly. I ended up choosing some of my favourite quotes from each. When I write, or even certain words make me think of certain scenarios or images, I don't know if there is an official name for this but I've always done it from a young age - the same as when I read a book I always make the film in my head and then get disappointed that the film version isn't as good as my film.

These were quite nice to explore a little bit of typography - typography has always been something I'm a little bit frightened off.
