Consider When Nominating an Attorney for Super Lawyers

Rick Jaklitsch, the owner of The Jaklitsch Law Group in Maryland, is known for his work in personal injury law. This year, Attorney Rick Jaklitsch was added to the Super Lawyers List in Washington D.C. and Maryland, an achievement that is given only to five percent of the attorneys.

Before being selected, attorneys are nominated by their peers. Nominations can be made at the Super Lawyers site at www.superlawyers.com. To nominate an attorney, the person has to be a licensed, practicing attorney in the state they are making the nomination. Furthermore, the nominating attorney cannot nominate an attorney from another state.

The program provides for stipulations as it relates to what type of lawyer qualifies for selection. Only attorneys that can be hired and retained by the public are eligible for nomination, such as private practice and legal aid lawyers. The compilation of nominations is a confidential process. For this reason, nominees cannot get information on those who nominated them.
