O Tolo fala de alguém que se atreve a ir ao desconhecido. O personagem aqui representado abre o peito ao horizonte, parece estar prestes a voar, assim acredita. Este é um momento de fé, o momento que antecede um desfecho que poderá ser fatal, no qual O Tolo se arrisca a cair, acreditando veemente que vai voar, num ato de completa rendição e entrega à vida, à sorte. A terra, os tons castanho e avermelhado, remetem-nos para um lado mais basilar, físico e carnal - a origem que energiza, move a vontade de voar, de auto superação. Busca pela essência através da extroversão, da entrega ao mundo e à vida. Também a certeza de que se O Tolo cair fatalmente, regressará à terra, de onde veio.

O Tolo (The Fool) is someone who dares to throw himself into the unknown. The character here represented opens his chest to the horizon, he seems to be just about to start flying, or so he believes. This is a moment of faith, the moment that precedes a possibly fatal ending, when  riscs himself to fall, strongly believing he's going to fly. This is an act of total surrender to life, to fate. The ground, the brown and reddish tones, take us to a more basic side, more fisical, fleshy - the origin that energises, moves the will to fly, the will of self overcoming. This represents a search for essence through extroversion, through surrender to the world and to life. There is also one certainty: if The Fool fatally falls, he will return to the ground, to the earth, from where he originally came.
