For week 5 I created 5 different portraits of myself, playing around with different colors and textures. 

The first one i made out of pens as a simple black and white abstract aesthetic. it looks a bit crude but I think it conveys enough to be an abstract portrait.

The second is made from texta colours and simple strokes, I really enjoyed how this one came out, its a simple but very effective look, the colours and solid lines work well.

The third is drawn with colour pencils, this is a more basic one with some shading textures to see how colours would interact.

The fourth is a black and white contrast made from paper, its the opposite of my first one in terms of colour, but the thick paper strips creates a very different feeling compared to the thin and uniform pens.

And the fifth is made from little fluffy green balls, playing around a bit with stacking the balls to add additional layers of colour and giving that sense of thickness to the hair.
