Hear Speak See No Evil traditional speed drawing

"I use the grotesque the way I do because people are deaf and dumb and need help to see and hear." - Flannery O'Connor

This abstract drawing/painting was inspired in part by the three wise monkey proverb, Hear no evil See no evil and Speak no evil, and also by my own dark ironic humor lol. I thought it would be ironic to have each body part not only represent a "monkey," but to also represent a handicap associated with the same principle. I.E. an ear with a hearing aid for the deaf that hear no evil; a mouth in the 'shh' pose representing the mute who speak no evil; and an eye with cataracts to represent the blind that see no evil.

This is the traditional version of this piece as I also made a digital version. You can see the digital (https://www.behance.net/gallery/10165...) and traditional (https://www.behance.net/gallery/10104...) pieces here.
