Martian City-State design project for 1,000,000

Martian City-State design project for 1,000,000 inhabitants by Human Planet Studio.
UNIT#1.
MISSON. The analysis of the question led us to the concept of a distributed settlement. Mars Nest Grid is a network of settlements from 200 to 10,000 people each. Each Nest has its own infrastructure with varying degrees of autonomy. The most Autonomous are Nest Complex – settlements designed for about 10,000 inhabitants. Usually a Nest Complex is formed from Central United structures, and around it are created Nests with a population of hundreds or thousands of inhabitants, depending on the topography, availability of natural resources, and convenience of the transport network. The transport network connects all Nests using the VORONOI NET principle. There are also several types of transport: tunnels, roads, and internal SkyRails. Industrial and cargo transport routes are located on the surface of Mars, while passenger routes are mostly located in tunnels under the surface. The exception is high-speed long-distance highways laid under covers made of regolith. Or high-tech routes with trains equipped with observation platforms and the latest means of radiation protection.
A DISPERSED NETWORK OF SETTLEMENTS WILL SOLVE SEVERAL ISSUES:
1. it is better to deal with emergency situations: asteroid fall, pandemic, power failure, etc.
2. experiments with finding new solutions for expanding settlements
3. diversify and enrich life and culture
