O objetivo central do projeto consistiu em desenvolver uma capa para o single "Tonight" da banda St. Lumière, utilizando uma fotografia do trio capturada por Kevin Rodrigues — @kevinnrp — em sessão de fotos.
The main objective of the project was to develop cover art for the music single "Tonight" by the band St. Lumière, using a photograph of the trio taken by Kevin Rodrigues — @kevinnrp — in a photo shoot.

A primeira etapa do processo foi realizar a audição da canção para extrair o tema e as sensações que ela transmite. A nossa interpretação foi a de que o eu lírico sofre com uma paixão por alguém misterioso e difícil de lidar, características que dificultam o desenrolar desse relacionamento. O desgaste e jogo mental praticado por essa pessoa faz com que o eu lírico não consiga se desprender da relação, apesar de ainda estar disposto a tentar. Essa conclusão foi essencial para guiar a criação da arte de capa, em busca de uma solução visual única e memorável que proporcionasse pistas sensoriais relacionadas ao significado da canção. Foram reunidas também capas de álbuns e singles similares à canção da banda, com o objetivo de compreender a comunicação e estilo visual utilizado no segmento.
The first stage of the process was to listen to the song to extract the theme and the sensations it conveys. Our interpretation was that the lyrical self suffers from a passion for someone mysterious and difficult to deal with, characteristics that hinder the development of that relationship. The wear and mental game that this person practices makes the lyrical self unable to detach from the relationship, despite being still willing to try. This conclusion was essential to guide the creation of the cover art, in search of a unique and memorable visual solution that would provide sensory clues related to the song meaning. Album and single covers similar to the band's song were also brought together, in order to understand the communication and visual style used in the segment.

a sonoridade da música indica uma estética oitentista e retrô, o que direcionou bastante a concepção visual da equipe, buscando referências em álbuns da década de 80, em gêneros como pop rock, balada, synthwave e retrowave.
the sound of the music indicates an 80's and retro aesthetic, which drove the visual conception of the team, looking for references in albums from the 80's, in genres such as pop rock, ballad, synthwave and retrowave.

a combinação de tipografias representa dois aspectos: de um lado, buscou-se trazer associação humana e afetiva com a assinatura manuscrita; de outro, busca a ligação com o clássico - a forma de sentir e amar em moldes românticos, muito simbolizados pela arte e visual europeu/francês -, além de indicar o vazio do eu lírico após a quebra de sua expectativa.

the combination of typographies represents two aspects: on the one hand, we sought to bring human and affective association with the handwritten signature; on the other hand, it seeks a connection with the classic - the way of feeling and loving in romantic molds, very symbolized by European and French art and visuals -, in addition to indicating the emptiness of the lyrical self after the breaking of its expectations.

as cores se misturam para indicar profundidade e delicadeza, também com um ar misterioso. o degradê representa uma oscilação do sentimento de amor; o tom escuro associa a dor e mistério. em suma, a transição do dia para a noite, e do amor para a tristeza. mais detalhes foram adicionados, como a textura, representando desgaste emocional; o plástico representando resiliência; e o posicionamento dos textos indicando a transição de sentimentos.

the colors mix to indicate depth and delicacy, also with a mysterious air. the gradient represents an oscillation of the feeling of love; the dark tone associates with pain and mystery. in short, the transition from day to night, and from love to sadness. more details were added, such as the texture, representing emotional wear; the plastic representing resilience; and the positioning of the texts indicating the transition of feelings.

os detalhes unidos tornam a capa memorável, possuindo detalhes que subjetivamente representam todas as principais sensações cantadas. inaugura também a st. lumière como uma banda e não mais um projeto solo.

the united details make the cover memorable, having details that subjectively represent all the main sensations sung. also inaugurates st. lumière as a band and no longer a solo project.
