I've HUGELY enjoyed collaborating with Fifteen Eleven Design: a local company specialising in restorations and modifications:
https://www.fifteenelevendesign.com
They've currently got this stunning '72 escort concept in final stages of build in their workshops - but were keen to generate some up-front publicity images ahead of the final car being completed.
They've put a lot of love and professional know-how into this build - using loads of motorsport expertise, and some really cute finishing touches.
The wheelbase has been shortened, and the rear bodywork has been cleverly reworked to re-proportion the arches to suit the new vehicle length.
There's also a whole raft of improvements and refinements under the bonnet to improve dynamic performance and raise the bar in terms of quality - so it drives as good as it undoubtedly looks.
The attention to detail in the finished car is simply stunning - and innovative touches such as the tartan weave composite used to form the speedster bubble panel just add further depth and interest to this utterly unique vehicle.
A real pleasure to meet and briefly work with these guys - it's great to see meticulous craftsmanship and originality alive and positively thriving.
My personal thanks to Ben and Chris for the opportunity to collaborate on this project.
