How To Clean PaintBall Gun

How To Clean Paintball Gun

hi I'm Dave Atkins with the 42nd Legion scenario paintball team out of Roanoke Virginia I'm here to talk to you today about how to clean a paintball gun
okay the materials that you'll need to clean your paintball gun are tools to take the gonna part with the gun itself
something to keep the loose parts in
barrel swap squeegee a towel to clean
parts with and perhaps some water to
help clean the parts with okay when
you're cleaning your gun the first thing
you want to do is check the barrel okay
clean it for any obvious breaks or any
debris on the outside and then when you
have done that you want to run a barrel
barrel swab through there just like so
and cleaning out the worst of it you
want to double check to make sure that
the barrel is clear if it's still not
clean after using a bottle swab you can
also use a squeegee feed one end of it
through there then as it a hook on the
Rings here just pull it through to give
a good firm tug that should clean off
any debris that may be left inside the
barrel right now the barrel is clean you
want to set that aside I also want to
clean off any visible dirt or Best Paintball Gun Under 150
breaks on the hopper then you also want
to clean off any visible breaks or dirt
on the exterior of the gun front back
and on the clam shells alright now we've
gone ahead and taken apart some of the
screws you want to be careful you take
all the screws out at these locations
I'm indicating put them in a magnetic
Bowl or something to help keep them from
getting lost when you disassemble the
clam shells you want to be careful
because there's a lot of small items
that are under a lot of spring tension
okay we want to disassemble the first
side of the clam shell and set it off to
the side okay now you have access to all
your main moving parts okay you want to
check to make sure that you clean off
any obvious debris any paint breaks that
may be inside the gun and also let's go
ahead and kind of wipe it down make sure
everything is oil check all your metal
to metal contacts such as your rear bolt
and your sear down here also check your
springs to make sure that they're in
good shape and also um be careful the
spring back here the rear hammer is
under a lot of tension you want to go
ahead and gently
that out of position so it takes some of
the spring pressure off the rear of the
gun okay now at this point you can take
a take a small cleaning cloth and go
ahead and wipe down all the parts also
we have some water here if you dip the
cloth and water and also kind of clean
off some parts I also want to make sure
before you reassemble everything go
ahead and give it a good oil a down make
sure everything operates smoothly and
also double check all of your o-rings
such as the one here on the front make
sure that that has no obvious tears or
wear it on it and then you can also take
the front of the clamshell part set it
aside and check and inspect that the
front and chamber is clean also check
the o-rings on the front of the bolt as
well and also in the chamber as well
also be careful about the ball detent it
has can fall out make sure that it's
clean
good and springy you want to set that
back in place as well pretty much this
gun is in good shape it's pretty clean
you want your gun to kind of look like
this once you're ready to reassemble it
now just remember the each gun is
different you want to know your specific
model and know your owner's manual and
how to probably care and maintain your
gun also never clean your gun while
pressurized I'm Dave and that's how to
clean a paintball gun
