A Chinese community-based, non-profit organisation, located in Gauteng, South Africa. Tasked with redesigning their website. It needed more than a facelift, a brief UX case study / audit has been presented to the client.
How did the project go?
The website ended up taking a more Western approach as most of the audience have grown up in South Africa. They did not adopt the same look and feel as how information is condensed in the East. The primary colours chosen were the classic red and yellow (gold) found in the culture. Secondary and neutral colours were added to break the harshness of too red.
The website is built around Wordpress. The content needed to be adjusted and responsive to mobile devices. It follows the 12-grid system and content is more tailored to mobile as data backs this approach.
