A intro guide to shochu (not soju!), a distilled spirit that is Japan's National Alcoholic Beverage, along with sake. I started this project to help me remember the history, production, and flavor profiles of shochu for my day job (so I can be taken seriously). This quickly turned into a passion project, and after many days of research, nerdy booze discussions and tastings, this zine was born.
