What is the disability insurance plan?

What is the disability insurance plan?
The Best NDIS Provider provides monthly income to employees who are unable to work for an extended period due to illness or injury not related to work resulting in total disability. Benefits are paid after a waiting period of 13 weeks or after the sick leave credits have been used up, whichever is later.
The Plan is administered, hereinafter called the insurer.
A management board has been set up under the auspices of the National Joint Council (CNM) to manage the AI scheme. It is composed of a president appointed by the Ndis Transport Providers Sydney, four representatives of the employer and four representatives of the bargaining agents.

The Management Board is responsible for examining questions related to appeals, disputed requests and participants, issues relating to the financial integrity of the Plan, eligibility rules, plan design and premium rates, and make recommendations to the CNM on these issues.
In the event of a conflict between this brochure and the insurance contract, the conditions of the contract prevail.

Who is eligible for the Plan?
The Ndis Plan Management Provider insurance peoples whose employer is the Treasury Board and who are represented in collective bargaining. Employees represented from a number of organizations and companies also participate in the Plan.
Generally, new full-time or part-time employees are automatically insured under the Plan Management Providers. A full-time employee is a person whose hours of work are equivalent to the hours of work normally scheduled for a full-time employee in the same occupational group.
Participation is compulsory in the following cases:
if you are appointed for an indefinite period, it is compulsory from the date of appointment;
if you are appointed for a fixed period of more than 6 months, it is compulsory from the date of appointment;
if you are appointed for a period of not more than six months, it is compulsory from the date on which you count a period of continuous employment of at least six months in the public service;
if you are a seasonal employee, it is compulsory after six months of continuous work during a season. If you continue to hold seasonal employment, you will be insured during the following seasons, but not during periods of inactivity unless you hold another type of eligible employment in the public service.
Note:
If you are on sick leave on the day that your Ndis Support Coordination Providers should normally take effect, it is postponed until the time you resume your normal activities.
Who is not eligible for the Plan?
You cannot join the Plan if:
you are recruited locally abroad;
you hold a managerial or confidential position which is excluded from collective bargaining;
you work part-time and work only a third, or less than a third, of the normal hours of work for a full-time employee in the same occupational group;
you are 64 years and 9 months old (at this age, employees can no longer meet the conditions necessary to be entitled to benefits in the event of disability).
