Angoli di Milano is a book that was created with the aim of analyzing and document the dense construction network of the city. Milan is a metropolis with a lot of history and architectural culture that distinguishes and makes it unique in its appearance.
The book goes to document the palaces of this city by photographing its corners, not only the famous ones but also those which apparently seem anonymous but that in reality contribute to making Milan what it is.
The stylistic choice of using corner photos derives from the basic building structure, in fact the corner are architecturally the most important part of the buildings because they are the strongest points that hold the standing structure. In the course of the book three themes are addressed, the Cornerstone, the Corner, and finally the Corner of Air, which represent metaphorically and stylistically the dematerialization of the corner.
The entire book is physically linked to the latter concept, since the choice of placing photos on two pages with the corner on the fold of the book makes sure that the key object, the corner, is lost inside the book, metaphor of the dematerialization of the corner in modern architecture.
