Keechakavadham (The Slaying of Keechaka) is a Kathakali play(Aattakatha) authored by Irayimman Thampi in Malayalam.
Story: One day Keechaka, the powerful army general and brother of Queen Sudeshna, chances to see the beautiful Draupati (Malini) and is enamored about her. She complains to Bheema (Valala) when Keechaka forces his attention on her. They lay a trap and Keechaka gets killed.
It's a short video narrating the story of the play with photographs. I tried to capture characters expression and emotion in different scenes. The duration of the play was 2hr 45min and, it was staged at Vadodara, Gujarat by the professional team from Kerala.
