CZECH HEROINES
Czech heroines are an artistic and literary project that focuses on the influence of women on Czech history. It was created symbolically 100 years after the feminist, teacher, activist and leader of the Czechoslovak women's movement, František Plamínková, succeeded in putting into practice the progressive principle of gender equality, as enshrined in the Masaryk Constitution of 1918.
The exhibition project on emancipation and the power to change something was created by Renáta Fučíková and students of the Didactic Illustration Studio in Sutnarka, and a book of the same name will be published in the autumn, in which Lenka Křížová and Kateřina Tučková participated.

The project also includes a traveling exhibition. Thanks to the Czech Center Tel Aviv, it was presented in mid-March at the Cinematheque in Jerusalem. However, the exhibition also did not escape the visitors of the online platforms of the Czech Center Moscow or Rotterdam through an online presentation. In Kiev will be presented in the second half of this year. The next launch of the project is planned in Athens, London, New York, Stockholm, Bucharest, Sofia, Rome, Vienna, Bratislava, Seoul, Tokyo and other destinations of an extensive network of Czech centers.

Thanks to the long-term cooperation between the Czech Centers and Radio Prague International, Czech heroines are now also available on the radio.cz and social network websites, in Czech, English, German, French, Spanish and Russian. Every weekday from Monday, May 25, for a total of ten weeks, viewers and listeners of Czech and foreign RPI broadcasts will have the opportunity to follow the fates of well-known and lesser-known women of Czech history and the present.
