Creative Videos with Unique Concepts
The hosts of DaBang Mornings - Sid & Aseem and others (over the years) - often had brilliant ideas and concepts for unique videos. We shot these at the Ajman Independent Studios we were blessed to have adjacent to our office.
Here, my role was to execute the hosts' ideas - run logistics, coordinate with different departments, oversee and assist with the shoot and edit of the videos, and release them on our social channels (and follow up with audience comments).
Being a radio station catering to the Hindi/Urdu speaking demographic in the UAE, Sid & Aseem had the incredible idea
of spoofing the dramatic Bollywood doctors' dialogues on World Health Day.
They made their own funny version of the 'Dancing Uncle' video that went viral across social media.
We asked our listeners to vote for who performed best.
With the World Cup fever across the globe, Aseem recreated the feelings of different types of
true cricket fans and their crazy habits while watching the game.
A Teachers' Day special - reminding everyone about the dialogues every teacher had at hand.
This was a great experience - A re-imagining of classic Indian television ads set in the UAE context.
We wrote new lyrics, Sid recorded new voice tracks, and we shot each ad in the style of the classic ones.
Aseem's amazing concept was brought to life with a great supporting cast from the office and
some coordination, script supervision and overseeing the edit from me.
Aseem's fantastic concept and acting made this video a wonderful shoot and edit.
This was done in-house in our studios, and completely according to Aseem's script.
A hilarious take on the things men - old and young - end up frustrating a woman with.
One of our first videos together as a team, which got really popular on our social channels,
it was all about the nostalgia of school days.
A creative depiction of the various people you meet on a dance floor.
Ever punished by your teacher? These were Aseem & Vicky's memories of punishments from their school days.
After several emotion-oriented National Day campaigns, Aseem decided to list all the things
an expat in the UAE holds dear; resulting in this video.
Sid was very popular for his ragas - a musical twist on a (or several) current affairs topic(s).
This video was a creative take on the head of the Central Board of Film Certification (India), constantly ordering cuts in films.
This video, Sid's brainchild, was in commemoration of the Parsi New Year.
