Encounter Mara Brochure
Encounter Mara is an award-winning, luxury tented eco-camp set on the banks of the Olmorjoi River, in the exclusive Mara Naboisho Conservancy in Kenya.
It is a small, low-impact, exclusive camp that provides personalised service of the highest standard. They have a passion for both the guests' experiences, as well as their staff members’ well-being, plus conservation of the wildlife around them.
K&i designed a company brochure extolling the virtues of Encounter Mara and the camp. A square format brochure was designed in a sophisticated style, with angles and geometry playing a key part to mimic the classic tepee tents used at the camp.
The brochure was printed on Rives Tradition, an uncoated premium paper with a uniformed texture, giving it a sense of opulence as well as a natural feel. The front cover also had the logo embossed.
The result is an up-market, modern, yet genuine down-to-earth design that suits and reflects well on the brand.
The brochure has been well received and enjoyed great feedback, with additional reprints due to higher than expected demand. Apart from publishing the brochure, Encounter Mara also rebranded during the course of the year and did several marketing exercises, helping increase bookings by 37% from its previous year.
The brochure has been featured on Design Indaba’s website in the article ‘Africa Illustrated’, which highlights the beauty of Africa.
