In 2018 I decided to start an adventure and document a country that is surrounded more with nature than people and buildings. That's how I ended up in Iceland where I put the bases of my project "This Place was a Shelter".
The pictures I created are a testimony of a universal space where physical time is irrelevant, emphasizing how the actual concept of "Time" can be quite different for each individual. While for some stands still, for others moves continuously back and forth.
Although a landscape can appear still and natural, in relationship with the viewer’s mind,it can produce a feeling, bringing back memories to life. Art remains a constant trigger for our thoughts and ideas.
