Spollo Kitchen Contest

Spollo Kitchen, launched by CTS Graphics and with a collaboration of AIAP (Italian Association of Visual Communication) and ADCI (Italian Art Director's Club) was contest to create a recipe book, combining the worlds of design and cookery.

Each participant chose a favorite dish of any kind, and would design it in 50x68 cm and could participate with a maximum number of 2 different designs. The selected designs would printed in the collective visual recipe book.

I have a created two different designs for a "Quinoa Salad with Shrimps and Grilled Peaches", a recipe I have created on my own, wanting to to reach a dish that would be healthy, tasty and beautiful.

I had a long shooting day, when I prepared the dish (it was my first official food photography session). Some of the photos were sent to the contests as it was optional to send some.

The salad tasted great (my roommate can testify that!), if you're interested, I can give you the recipe (in Italian, but quite easy to translate!), please feel free to ask!
