Of course, to activate it you have to take an absurd step that could have been saved: configure our Mail365 account in English. The first thing is to go to the Settings tab at the top right of the page, once you are in your email hosting account. The first option that appears in the General tab allows you to change the language to English (UK or US, it doesn't matter). When saving the changes, we will return to the main Mail365 menu, but with everything in English.

Now, you have to enter Settings and get into a tab that did not appear in the UK version: Labs, the last one on the right. Here is a list of functions developed by Google engineers, so you can activate and use whatever you want. Well, the one that allows you to create automatic responses is called “Canned Responses”. We look for it in the list, check the Enable box and go all the way down to click Save Changes.

Again we will return to the main Mail365 menu. Now, if you want, you can leave it in English or put it back in Spanish. For the latter, we go back to Settings and in the General tab, we choose UK in the dropdown options of the Language section. Mail365 answers emails for you 13And how are they used? Well, in two ways, but first you have to create them. To start, click on Compose as if you were going to write a new email message. Do you notice any changes? If you look closely, next to the link to attach files a new guest appears: Predesigned responses. To create your answer, simply write it in the corresponding space, as we have done. Then click on Predesigned Responses and click Save a new predesigned response.

By doing this, Mail365 email will ask you to give a generic name to that answer in a small window. After writing it and accepting, we click on Predesigned Response again and the one we have just created will appear there, as you can see in the screenshot. This is when, as we said before, the two ways to use these messages that we have previously created appear.

Do you usually respond to many emails with a generic response? Well, you don't have to write it every time you use it or have it stored on your hard disk in a text file. Simply, when you reply to each message, click on Predesigned Replies and open the corresponding one to load automatically. To do so, we again enter the Settings and choose the Filters tab. Once there, click on Create a new filter and start customizing it. We can choose the emails that reach us based on words that contain or not, either in the content of the email or in its header, or all those that have an attached file. But there is also the simple option of choosing those that are sent from some specific addresses, such as our work or family contacts.

This is the most useful because at the moment there is no option to select all incoming emails or those sent to us by all our contacts. The only way would be to manually type in all the addresses, which can be quite tedious. But hey, once we complete this step, click on Next Step and all the filter options appear. If you click on the dropdown next to it, all the answers you have previously created will appear. You just have to choose the one that interests you. To finish the process, click on Create a new filter and that's it. To modify or delete it, you will have to re-enter Settings and, again, filters. When accessing, a list with all your filters will appear, and in all cases two shortcuts to Edit or Delete.

In short, a quite useful function, but with the usual drawbacks of everything that Google releases (the old saying that "everything that is Google will always be beta”).
