Self Portrait. Using coloured paper wrap on the light to creating a smooth lightinig effec
PROCESS
The photo was taken by the Camera 500d, Used red colour highlights my character.
REFLECTION
This image of lighting helped to understand how to take a picture, I was shocked how the light can play the huge key to the image, I have used my camera multiple times, at first I think I had the coloured paper too thick, the light did not illuminate enough. Then I changed to one layer, then as result here, It has so much better resolutions etc.
EQUIPMENT
CANON 500d
TECHNIQUE
Family Members, White cover paper
PROCESS
The photo I have used was taken by my phone. As to put aside and covered with the white paper to smooth the sharpness of lighting.
REFLECTION
So for my friend Mack, he is 2 years old now, and he has always been innocent, even though he had done something naughty. He is super chill in the family always sits on the sofa when I watch TV etc. On this image, I think I represent my bros well in the colour use. But things I like to improve on.was to create some of the colour photos to be more vivid and showing his other side of his personality.
EQUIPMENT
CANON 500d, Photoshop
TECHNIQUE
Object, Green coloured paper, Red coloured paper put each one on the opposite side
PROCESS (Object Photography)
Process photo 1 original taken directly by the camera without any effects. Then I have selected the adjustment option to hue & saturation to make the image more presentable, (as shown in the process 2 images). Lastly, I feel the colour does not have enough depth into it. So I have applied colour balanced in midtones section to exaggerate more like my final object photography.
REFLECTION
This techniques of using two colours have emphasized the character of the object, and using the software have unfolded the beauty, and boost the colour usage to another level. I am happy with the result I have produced. Things I would like to improve on was the image quality, I was not too sure why the camera was not as clear as the self-portrait 1. but at the end, I realize that due to the photograph was taken in the afternoon, some of the natural light might have caused glare into the object shooting progress. So the lesson I have learnt from this was prevented too much glare and better image quality at night time when using some of the lightings in my opinion.
EQUIPMENT
Iphone, Photoshop
TECHNIQUE
Green colored paper. Hue Saturation, Colour Balance, Light PNG. Transparency.
PROCESS (Small Worlds)
The car was taken by my iPhone, the green colour paper was used to smooth and present the effect to the car as shown in Process work 1. Once the image has imported, I have explored the concept through multiple aspects(as shown in process work 2 ). Colour balance was used (Cyan to 100+ in the midtone have produced the work 2.). After done the exploration, I find that adding some element into the story can help the audience to know what has been going on. The spark effects and minor scratch on each side have played a prominent key to adding power in this story. (The car wiggling out the way from an abandoned place.)
REFLECTION
In this activity, I found that the information we create is also about how we took our image and how the lighting can change the sense of each image. By using some of the software has made the photo much better. Overall, I am satisfied with the result. the image was a kind blur, but after done the colour balanced etc has assisted the image to be better quality in my opinion. Things I like to be improved, I think I might need to use my camera to do the job, and also if the character can be more, I think it would be slightly better.
EQUIPMENT
CANON 500d
TECHNIQUE
Texture Hunt, White paper covered light, Lighter light, Natural light.
PROCESS
Frame 1&2 uses the same method by wrapping a white paper onto the phone to delight the material. As a comparison, to frame 2, I used a lighter to lit the material up. Frame 4,5 had the natural lighting to integrated into the nature concept.
REFLECTION
Overall, the texture hunt enhanced me to understand how each material can be affected by the lighting. As a comparison between artificial lighting and natural lighting. According to some research, Natural lights has the key to tone colour to be healthier than artificial, but the direct sunlight causes glare which is not pleasant. Whereas Artificial light instantly shifts the mood of a particular room etc. I am quite happy with the result I have produced, Things I would like to improve on, I have seen some other examples, It would be a good idea to use the software like photoshop, lightroom to smooth even more and add some depth into the Hunt.
