My first artwork for 2013. A bit experimental. This is Jacquelyn from an old concept I had. I like using her as a symbol for transformation and change.

Edge is a small traveling circus that is usually sets up on the outskirts of rural towns. It features a mystifying yet ghoulish assortment of individuals, ranging from the Wolfian strongman to the Phantom escape artist to its star acrobat, the Fearless Flier. Seemingly unafraid of any height or challenge in the air despite the risk of death, the Fearless Flier has become an icon to Edge’s daredevil audience. Unknown to everyone else, however, the character this acrobat plays is far from fake. Lola, the person behind the role, is exactly as her catchphrase proclaims—“death itself.”
"Like Thunder"
Back when I was obsessed with dragons, I had my brother (3-years-old at the time) design for me his own character. It came out to be this blue wormlike creature named Corin, which possessed only front legs and some odd crest on its head. Several years later, here is a revamped Corin against a stormy backdrop because my brother is obsessed with lightning. The next time I paint him, I may give him feather wings.
"Echo"
This is Brooke, a vampire character from a supernatural story concept I had years ago.
The way it goes now is that supernatural beings co-exist with humans and have for centuries. Each race is monitored by a powerful group called the High Council, which favors humanity and has the power to "erase" any of the supernatural races that are too threatening towards humans. When a race is "erased," their histories and previous existences become myths and fantasies, simplified into often unjustified generalizations that usually emphasize the worst aspects about them. This is punishment meant to provide an example to the remaining supernatural races. Over time, the nonhuman races gradually abandoned their old culture and traditions to assimilate more with humans, which resulted in a loss of some of their original abilities. Unknown to the Council, however, the erasure of these races has created an imbalance that has allowed a monstrous threat to enter the world.

"The Choosing"
The idea behind this came from a dream I had a few years ago. Essentially, different tribes of natives were connected spiritually to an animal species. When an individual attained a certain level of spiritual enlightenment, they would be selected by the animal and would thereby become "one" with it. The two would then continue to live as a single being that could shift between human and animal.
"Music's Muse"
This is Xoma Ara, an eccentric alien disguised as an even more eccentric human girl. She got lost traveling between galaxies many years ago and ended up on Earth, where she discovered her love for outrageous fashion and music. Xoma doesn't plan on finding her way back home anytime soon.
"Heavy Wishes"
Titus is a fox-like celestial creature with the power to create stars. After causing chaos and the near destruction of a planet, he was punished to haul wish stars across the universe.
