Electric Wave | Spring '19 | Fusion 360, Arduino

Electric Wave, a design practice project that I created while studying expressive robotics, is a digital only prototype I created in the Fusion 360 modeling environment. The project showcase the single unit (seen in the two images on the left) and in tandem with a set (seen in the two images on the right). The system was designed as a set of nine pneumatically driven rods with individually addressable LEDs located in each of their tips.

The system would be driven to raise and lower these rods to create shifting topologies both independent and dependent on their surrounding partners. It was in this way that an environment could be radically shifted with a relatively simple process.
