DESIGN FOR SOCIETY
- "Re-directing towards the chance to save"
NPO: Hederberg Baby Saver in Somerset West, SA. 
The brief was to identify viable social media and direct marketing solutions where platform deliverables speak with one voice and link with one other, within regards to a chosen NPO. Therefore, the brief identifies that NPO’s seek help. To solve this particular problem the brief specifies to choose an existing NPO and promote it by creating a viable social media, direct marketing and traditional media solution. 

Helderberg baby saver is an NPO that focuses on helping mothers to safely place their baby in a foster care system by offering them an opportunity to stay anonymous. Helderberg baby saver NPO thus serves as a channel between the mother and the foster care system by receiving the baby through the help of the baby saver box.

Re-directing towards the chance to save (“Choosing to save a life”) 
Looking into the geography of the chosen target audience, Somerset West - Helderberg area is rich in fynbos biome. This inspired me to use fynbos more specifically the Protea flower as a visual language to successfully communicate with these young women, knowing that they will be able to identify with the flower. Therefore, Helderberg NPO  will redirect mothers to make use of the baby saver by the use of a campaign. With this, it will show these mothers that the protea survived and are thriving after a fire. In retrospect, this campaign campaigns to show these women that choosing Helderberg will be the best option for them and their child when they feel in need of using the baby saver.
A combination of the project's design applications.
The aim of this project is to make young women in need aware of the Baby Box Saver as an alternative option to give their baby a chance. These women should feel assured and not ashamed- in order for them to feel confident in handing their baby over into better care. The main goal is as mentioned to make this Baby Box more ACCESSIBLE. Lastly the aim is to communicate how this box works in an effective but subtle manner. This campaign will indicate that healing can happen when making use of this baby saver.​​​​​​​

These are the designs for an MMS function where two way communication strengthens the bond between NPO and Target Audience. Although MMS is out dated the specific target audience don't necessarily have enough data to download images on WhatsApp. Making MMS the most cost effective way to communicate.

Options of different Facebook images to upload. A did you know fun fact can keep things interesting and active on Helderbergs Facebook Page. Also women who have access to their Facebook profile can anonymously ask questions that will be answered on the public page. 
Suggestion of what they can do with the Saver itself to make it more user friendly.
