Branding of a Yoga Studio

When my partner and I decided to set up our own Yoga studio, I had decided to take responsibility of the entire branding upon myself; from logo designing to website to managing the social media accounts on Instagram and Facebook. Post a long research for a suitable name, we finally settled with the name “Yogaruda”, meaning ‘One who is established in yoga’.




We couldn’t have found a better name. Since beginning of time, a blossoming of consciousness was always associated with a lotus and so I knew I had to have a bloomed lotus in my logo. The word Ha-tha means the Sun and the Moon. Therefore, I also knew I had to incorporate shapes of Sun and Moon. The simple circle represents the sun and the petals, the varying shapes of the moon. 

I paired a slab-serif typeface title named Sanchez with a sans-serif named Playfair Display as tagline.


I stuck to the subdued earthy color palette in all my designs to convey to my audience, the subtlety of ‘Yoga’.
