The artwork at Koigen, a recreation area by the lake Mjøsa in Hamar, Norway
The artwork is part of an art project called En sommerfugl (A Butterfly) that was initiated by Hamar municipality, the town where I live. 9 artists from the area were invited to create a work of art inspired by the theme "butterfly". The butterfly project is based on a city plan with the same name from 1924 by architect and professor Sverre Pedersen. This town plan shows how the town of Hamar has a shape that resembles a butterfly.
