Awareness Campaign Designs
For this project I was assigned to produce a set of images to be used in an awareness campaign for my college coursework. I decided to focus on mental health issues, particularly in young people. My target audience is ages 11-18 and I chose the Mind™ mental health charity as my hypothetical client.
For this project I was assigned to produce a set of images to be used in an awareness campaign for my college coursework. I decided to focus on mental health issues, particularly in young people. My target audience is ages 11-18 and I chose the Mind™ mental health charity as my hypothetical client.
I took inspiration from the Mind™ and MQ mental health charities as well as the conceptual artist Barbara Kruger, which influenced my designs. I focused predominantly on Depression and Anxiety in young people, but I hope that the message will be effective in starting conversations about Mental Health in general.
My final set of designs consist of High and Low Key portraits which I shot in the studio. Later in post-production, I adjusted these images in Adobe Lightroom, and then added type, logos and other graphics in Photoshop.
