Waiting for the Matsuri

From a grudge to a guardian:In Shinto, a noble person who was executed for an innocent crime will become a vengeful ghost and cause disaster. However, if you enshrine it politely, it will become a divine spirit and a guardian deity. Prince Morinaga, who was the biggest rival of Ashikagas, was imprisoned and executed here in 1335 at his 28 years old. The Kamakura-gu Shrine is dedicated to Prince Morinaga.
In the normal summer, the shrines becomes lively with the fantastic Bon dance on Matsuri day, but this year festivals were cancelled because of the COVID-19... We had a sad summer without seasonal events.
