Starfish

Recently I came across this under the radar indy sci-fi horror flick titled Starfish.
Now, the film may start a little slow and many aspects are left unanswered and open to interpretation, but I think the story ultimately boils down to a journey through the mind of someone as they struggle with extreme bouts of grief and guilt.

The story is tied together beautifully through its cinematography.  The framing, the composition, and the camera and color work of the film were all hauntingly breath taking, and after making through the entire film I was hooked. The story, the creativity, the imagery, I couldn’t stop contemplating what it all was suppose to mean.

There were several moments throughout the film that left me visually inspired.  So much so that I decided to capture those moments using my Epson Project and Canon 5D Mark IV.

Thank you Virginia Gardner, A.T. White, and Alberto Bañares for inspiring me.  This film may not be for everyone but you cannot deny the stunning visuals, the creativity and the passion that oozes from every aspect of this visual masterpiece.
